The Fed is a leading health and social care charity for the Greater Manchester Jewish Community, providing care to around 100 residents and 30 tenants across its site. With a dedicated team of approximately 300 staff, The Fed is passionate about investing in its people and supporting their professional development.
As part of this commitment, The Fed partners with the Growth Company to offer Level 2 and 3 Adult Care apprenticeships, helping staff build the skills, knowledge and confidence to grow in their roles.
This investment in staff development has had a ripple effect across the organisation. Not only has it helped with enhancing the skills of their workforce and improved internal recruitment, but it has also boosted morale and strengthened the overall work ethic.
Staff who have completed their apprenticeships have not only gained valuable qualifications but have also developed a renewed sense of confidence and purpose in their roles.
Charlotte Johnson, Training Administrator at The Fed, explains:
“We are always looking to upskill staff and give them access to courses to grow and develop. It shows our team that we value them and their development and that recognition motivates them to put their new skills into practice. I’ve seen staff really grow and many of them have discovered new leadership skills and are now stepping into more senior positions. Three of our team members who completed their Level 3 qualifications have recently become shift leaders
“The Growth Company believes in people and help them reach their goals in a supportive way. They’re a fantastic team to work with, especially Nikki Perry. Nikki communicates amazingly, is always supportive, and quick to respond to any requests. Overall, it’s been a really positive experience.”
