The Improvement Practitioner Level 4 Apprenticeship prepares apprentices to lead change and process improvements across a wide range of industries.
What it covers:
Knowledge
- Compliance with health, safety, and legislative requirements.
- Project management, risk analysis, and change management principles.
- Lean and Six Sigma tools, data analysis, and problem-solving methods.
Skills
- Leading and managing improvement projects.
- Applying Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive change.
- Analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Behaviours
- Driving continuous improvement and delivering results.
- Working effectively in teams and adapting to change.
- Promoting safety and maintaining professionalism.
Apprentices will gain the expertise to lead projects, manage change, and deliver lasting improvements.
Delivery
Our Skills Development Tutors will visit apprentices on-site, working with them to meet employer’s specific needs and expectations.
Entry requirements
Applicants must have minimum GCSE grades A*-C/4-9 in English and maths.
Progression
Apprentices can progress into roles such as Continuous Improvement Manager, Process Excellence Manager, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or Project Manager. They may also move into senior roles, such as Business Improvement Specialist or Operational Excellence Leader.
For those looking to deepen their expertise, the Level 5 Improvement Specialist Apprenticeship offers further development, preparing them for more strategic leadership roles, such as leading large-scale change initiatives or becoming experts in process optimisation and continuous improvement across various sectors.
