Assistant administrators work across all sectors and organisations, from small businesses to large enterprises, developing highly transferable skills.

Their role is to carry out routine administrative tasks that support day-to-day operations, working under supervision and following established procedures. They use digital systems to input, manage and retrieve data, and support colleagues to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.

Assistant administrators are an integral part of the team and may support different departments such as IT, finance or HR. They also act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, customers, suppliers and public organisations.

They must be flexible, able to respond to changing priorities, take on feedback and handle sensitive information appropriately, always working in line with organisational requirements.

Please note - This apprenticeship will be available from 1 August 2026.
