Apprentices will learn to apply Lean principles and methodologies in a fast-paced, efficient processing environment. They will be expected to meet high-quality standards, ensuring safety and process compliance while working with multiple products, such as automotive manufacturing, where varying product specifications must be managed in a high-volume setting.
Throughout the apprenticeship, apprentices will develop skills in process ownership, safety, and quality control, while adhering to health and safety policies, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following standard operating procedures (SOPs). They will contribute to continuous improvement efforts by applying Lean tools, Kaizen, and problem-solving techniques to optimise manufacturing operations. Additionally, apprentices will work closely with stakeholders and maintain communication with team leaders and supervisors to resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
This apprenticeship prepares apprentices for roles such as Lean Manufacturing Operative, Process Improvement Coordinator, and offers the opportunity to progress to more senior positions, including Lean Specialist or Improvement Leader, within this thriving and ever-evolving industry.
