Apprenticeship details

The Insurance Practitioner Level 3 Apprenticeship equips apprentices with the advanced skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to succeed in the insurance industry. Building on foundational expertise, this apprenticeship prepares individuals to manage complex insurance inquiries, handle a range of products, and deliver excellent customer service across various sectors, including personal and commercial insurance.

What it covers:

This apprenticeship is designed to develop the skills and technical knowledge of existing staff identified for further development within the business, all while gaining a professional industry qualification.

The standard has broad application across the insurance sector, focusing on enhancing the apprentice’s knowledge of key areas such as the insurance market structure, compliance, and commercial awareness. It also focuses on developing communication, interpersonal, and behavioural skills that are essential in their role within the industry.

Delivery

This is a work-based apprenticeship, apprentices will receive regular 1-to-1 support to help them achieve competence in line with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours outlined in the apprenticeship standard.

Entry requirements

Ideally, apprentices will have a minimum of five GCSE's grade 4/C or above including maths and English.

Additionally, they must be employed in a relevant role.

Progression

Upon completing the Insurance Practitioner Level 3 Apprenticeship, apprentices can progress to higher levels of study, such as Level 4 or Level 5 qualifications. This can open up opportunities for more advanced roles, including managerial positions, within the insurance industry.
