  • Factors that affect the vulnerability of IT systems and data
  • Measures to protect IT systems and data from current and evolving threats
  • Different physical security measures used to protect IT systems and data
  • User access control systems to restrict unauthorised access
  • How ethical hacking can be used to protect IT systems and data
  • Legal requirements and IT security policies and procedures in place to protect IT systems and data
  • Ethical and unethical conduct when using IT systems

  • A computer 
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft Office Software 

Eligibility for funding:

This course is fully funded to individuals who:

  • Are a Greater Manchester Resident
  • Aged 19+
  • Earns less than £25,000

Progression

After completing the Level 2 Award in Cybersecurity, learners can progress to a variety of pathways. They may choose to pursue further study in more advanced cybersecurity qualifications or other specialised courses in areas like network security or ethical hacking.

Learners may also consider pursuing industry certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), to further enhance their expertise and employability in the growing field of cybersecurity.
